...Appreciation & Reflection...

First of all, I would like to thank my English teacher Puan Ng for giving me this meaningful task that is to prepare this English Folio with the title " The Caring Tree " by using blogger. Although I had been busy finding information from the story book 'The Caring Tree'. I am very happy bacause this is the first time I am doing project by using blogger.
I had learnt things such as blogging, typing, finding information and the most important things I had learnt how to respect our parents and people who are older than us.
Once again, I like to thank Puan Ng who had guide me in preparing this project. I also wish to thank my parents, sister, brother and all my friends who had also assist me in preparing this meaningful task. My interest in English subject and story reading has increased a lot after preparing this English project.

Why Should We Care For Our Parents?

Why should we care for our parents???

This is because parents are those who give birth to us.

Without them we won't be here.

Our parents are important to us, they grow us up,

provide education,

guide us in our life and always give their best to us.

Sometimes our parents will nag or scold us,

we will started to hate our parents

and we might think that our parents are not loving us.

It's totally wrong!!!

Do you know why???

They scold us is because they love us,

they just want us to succeed in our lives

and be the best.

Have you ever thought about our parents?

Our parents are always sacrifice for us,

work hard to support us in whatever way.

So in oder to give returns to their hark work,

We should study hard,

work hard to realize our dream when we grow up.

So that we won't dissapoint our parents.

Always show your caring, respect, obey and gentle to

our parents.

To my parents,

I will apply myself to my studies and become the best I can. I will work hard to achieve as high as I can in my profession. XD

A million thanks to both of you. I love you forever dad and mum. You are the best in my life.

~My Caring Tree~

Daddy- My father is 45 years old. His name is Wong Tuck Kwai. He is tall and thin and have fair skin. My father works as a Supervisor. He is a kind, caring, patient and honest man. I love and admire my father because my father cares of our family very much. He always work hard to support our family. He always advise and give valuable guidence to my family members. My family usually went picnic during school holidays and I love and proud of my father.

Mother- My mother is a house wife. Her name is Chan Saw Chew. She is not tall but have fair skin. My mother can cook very well, she always cook delicious food for our family. My mother is a kind, caring and patient lady. I love my mother very much as she take care of our whole family and our studying too.

Sister- My sister is 18 years old. She will be in form 6 next month. My sister is a chaming girl. She can play piano and swim very well. Her ambition is to be a chartered secretary. My sister always engarage me in my undertakings. She always help me in my study and teach me in playing piano.. She loves and take cares of me very much. I'm happy and proud of my sister.

Brother- My brother is 15 years old. He is in Form 3 this year. He study in Methodist Boys School. He is a prefect in his school. My brother loves to play guitar. He is good in Bahasa Malaysia and English. His ambition is to become a doctor. My brother cares me very much, he always cheer me up whenever I'm down or having problem. He use to guide me in my study. I appreciate my brother. We love each other.

Me- My name is Carmen Wong. I am 12 years old. I studying at Sekolah Kebangsaan Seri Bintang Utara. My hobby is playing piano and reading books. My ambition is to be a musician. I always work hard for my UPSR exam this year. I will work hard to achieve as high as possible so that I will not disappointed my parents of their hopes towards me.


This is all about my family, I have a happy family and I love my family very much.

**A Letter To A Character**

Dear Caring Tree,

Hi, how are you now? I guess you are fine and happy. I had read all about you from the storybook. I felt pity on you as you are too kind. I think you are the best and kindness living things in the earth. You know why because when the little boy request anything from you, you also fulfill to him but the boy never appreciate you once. Every time he came and look for you, you will say "Come and play with me, little boy" but he did not want to play with you. He just wanted your wood to build some basic needs for himself and his family. Whenever the boy came, you always welcome the boy. Why??? Whenever he is in trouble then he came and look for you. Don't you think so??? You always gave him things that he wanted such as money, wood and many more. Why are you so kind??? I felt very pity on you as the little boy is only taking advantage on you. Anyhow, in the end when the boy grew old he still came back and visit you without any teeth. He is also lean along your roots and you were also shed tears. This part is so touching. I hope you will happy always. That's about all for the time being and I will write to you soon!

~A Book Review~

Title : The Caring Tree

The story is about a huge tree and a little boy. Everyday, the little boy comes and plays with it. He climbs to the treetop, eats the fruits and takes a nap under the shadow. He loves the tree and the tree loves to play with him.

Time goes very fast, the boy grows up and he no longer plays around the tree everyday. He wants toys but he doesn't have money. He needs to bulid a house. He need a boat to relax himself. So that the tree helps him. It gives whatever things that the boy needs. This is because it wants to see and make the boy happy. The tree always welcome and fullfill the boy's request and needs.

The part that I like the most is the ending part. This is when the boy comes back to the tree. He is very old and does not have any teeth. The tree says "I really cannot give you anything. The only thing left is my dying roots ," the tree said with tears. So that the man sat down, leaning on the roots. The tree is glad and smiles with tears. It is very touching.

From this story, I learnt to be grateful, caring and love my parents before it's too late!
